Intelligence Engine
Generate match candidates for unlinked supplier materials. Run Dry Run first to preview scope, then Execute. Re-run after any canonical library expansion (new materials, forms, or synonyms).
Domain Classification

Run text processing to classify unprocessed supplier_materials into curation domains. Safe to run multiple times.

Ingredient Queue — Review intelligence engine recommendations for ingredient and excipient supplier materials. Each item shows a proposed canonical match. Approve to create the link, skip to return later, or reject if the match is wrong.
🟢
Operational Domain
Canonical hierarchy active (171 materials · 344 forms · 89 specifications). Intelligence matching active. Stewardship workflow active. 1,338 candidates generated. Use the Intelligence Fast Lane for rapid approval of high-confidence matches.

R&D Governed Material Specification Standards
An R&D-governed standard that defines the approved identity, potency, composition, regulatory requirements, certifications, and quality expectations for use in formulations. Material Specifications are owned by R&D and used by Formulation, Regulatory, Quality, Estimating, and Sourcing.

← Select an ingredient specification to view its profile
Each Ingredient Specification defines an R&D-governed standard covering identity, potency, botanical source, composition, certifications, and quality requirements.
Click Refresh to load sources.
← Select a source to view its details
Each Source is a Supplier Material as received from the supplier — including supplier item code, cost, lead time, certifications, and its current link to the canonical Catalog (if any).

Formula Specifications

Manage approved reusable formulations that reference Material Specifications.
Architectural Purpose

Formulas represent approved reusable formulations that combine Material Specifications into a finished product blueprint. Each Formula references canonical Material Specifications — ensuring that ingredient governance flows directly into product development and procurement.

Future Scope

This tab will provide Formula lifecycle management: creation, revision, component linkage, and approval workflows. Formulas bridge Material Master governance and product-level specifications.

Bill of Materials

Execution mapping layer — where Specifications resolve to ERP items and SKUs for manufacturing.
Architectural Purpose

BOMs are execution artifacts that map governed Material Specifications to ERP inventory items and supplier SKUs. This is where specification-based governance meets procurement execution.

Resolution Model

Specification → ERP Item → SKU resolution occurs here. Formulas define what is needed (via MAT-SPECs). BOMs define how it is procured and manufactured (via ERP items).

Packaging Queue — Manage packaging stewardship. Packaging materials (capsule shells, bottles, closures) can be linked to canonical entries. Packaging artwork (labels, cartons) is in Assessment Mode — these are product artifacts that do not map to a single canonical material.
🟡
Packaging Materials — Partially Operational
Capsule shells and bottles have canonical library entries. Closures have no canonical entities yet. The intelligence engine has not been run for the packaging domain — no candidates exist. Additional specifications are required before most approvals are possible.

Packaging Artwork — Assessment Mode
These records are product-specific artwork or packaging assets. They are not currently part of the canonical Material hierarchy. Displayed for visibility and future architecture planning. Approval is not recommended until a packaging artwork architecture decision is made.

Branded Queue — Review branded ingredient recommendations. Branded ingredients (KSM-66®, BioPerine®, Albion minerals) map to the same canonical specification as their underlying active ingredient. The brand name lives at the supplier material level — only the specification link is canonical.
🟡
Partially Operational
How branded mapping works: Branded ingredients map to the same canonical specification as their underlying active ingredient. The brand name lives at the Supplier Material level.

Examples of actionable branded items: BioPerine® → Black Pepper Extract · KSM-66® → Ashwagandha Extract · Shoden® → Ashwagandha Extract · Albion minerals → Mineral Bisglycinate specs

Novel proprietary blends (elevATP®, AnaGain Nu, proprietary combination products) have no canonical equivalent today. Use Skip for Later or Exclude SM with a reason for these items.

Ready
Ready For Approval (score 75+) — Strong evidence that this supplier material matches the canonical entry. The engine found a high-confidence synonym, trade name, or botanical match. Use the Fast Lane to review these quickly. Always verify the canonical path (Material › Form › Specification) before approving.
Review
Needs Review (score 45–74) — Reasonable signal evidence, but not definitive. The match may be based on a partial name match or form type keyword. Check the "Why this was matched" section in the workbench and verify the canonical path makes sense before approving.
Research
Needs Research (score 20–44) — Weak evidence. Typically a material name substring match only. Review carefully. Skip & Next is appropriate if you are not certain — do not approve low-confidence candidates without verifying the supplier item manually.
None
Unmatched — No candidate was generated. This usually means the canonical library does not yet contain an entry for this ingredient category, or the item is a complex multi-component blend that cannot be cleanly mapped to a single canonical material.
